TAMEER-E-SARHAD PROGRAMME
Bilour calls for simplifying codal formalities

 

PESHAWAR: Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bashir Ahmad Bilour on Friday has emphasized on completing work on all ongoing development schemes under Tameer-e-Srahad program and asked the authorities to simplify issuance of funds and codal procedures to ensure transparent and judicious use of the hard earned public money and enabling public getting its fruit with full satisfaction.
He was chairing the Steering Committee meeting of Tameer-e-Sarhad Program at his office Civil Secretariat Peshawar wherein a number of decisions were taken.
The meeting besides others was attended by Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Aurangzeb, Additional Secretary Finance Murad Ali Khan, Deputy Secretary and chief of LG and RD Planning & Development Meraj Khan, Director General Local Govt Haji Abdul Jalil and representatives of other concerned departments. Senior Minister directed for early release of development funds and following the required procedures in letter and spirit. He also directed for preparing the quarterly reports on expenditures and physical progress otherwise cautioned for action against the lethargic officers.
Similarly he asked for identification of the places and Union Councils where the schemes sites were located as well as mentioning the executing agencies to make process more simple and transparent.
He expressed satisfaction that record of the monetary and physical progress on development schemes of minority assembly members was available due to release of funds through Local government and assured that proper steps would be taken to adopt such a procedure for release of funds of general MPAs that he said would also help in mitigating complaints about quality of schemes in different areas.--APP
